WELCOME TO BARAH MINISTRIES

TODAY’S STUDY
THE CREATOR’S Will is That You Forget the Past

Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.

Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead…

I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

…who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

“He who believes in Him (the Lord Jesus Christ) is not judged; he who does not believe (in the Lord Jesus Christ) has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name (the Person) of the only begotten (uniquely born) Son of God.”

…grow in the (sphere of) grace and (in the) knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

…we (believers in Christ) are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home (face-to-face) with the Lord.

“…and He (the Lord Jesus Christ) will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”

Brethren…one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead…

Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.//I was still unknown by sight to the churches of Judea which were in Christ…

…but only, they kept hearing, “He who once persecuted us is now preaching the faith which he once tried to destroy.”

Brethren…one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead…

Now it came about in those days, when Moses had grown up, that he went out to his brethren and looked on their hard labors; and he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren.

So he looked this way and that, and when he saw there was no one around, he struck down the Egyptian (killed him) and hid him in the sand.

He went out the next day, and behold, two Hebrews were fighting with each other; and he said to the offender, “Why are you striking your companion?”

But he (the offender) said, “Who made you a prince or a judge over us? Are you intending to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid and said, “Surely the matter has become known.”

Jesus said to him, “Truly I say to you (Peter) that this very night, before a rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”

But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

So the other disciples were saying to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he (Thomas) said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”

After eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.”

Then He (the Lord Jesus Christ) said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.”

Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”

(The Lord) Jesus (Christ) said to him (Thomas), “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”

For even though they (unbelievers) knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Professing to be wise, they became fools,//and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.

And the tongue is a fire, the very world of iniquity; the tongue is set among our members as that which defiles the entire body, and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell.

Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.

What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase?//May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?

…and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.”

“And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the new wine will burst the skins and it will be spilled out, and the skins will be ruined.”

“But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins.”

“And no one, after drinking old wine wishes for new; for he says, ‘The old is good enough.’”

Brethren…one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead…
