Class Outline:

WELCOME TO BARAH MINISTRIES

When you were (spiritually) dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He (God the Father) made you alive together with Him (the Lord Jesus Christ), having forgiven us ALL our transgressions…

…having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He (the Lord Jesus Christ) has taken it out of the way (as a barrier), having nailed it to the cross.

OFFERING VERSES
…in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Remember to give with the motivation suggested in Scripture
Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful (grace oriented) giver.

TODAY’S STUDY
Unconditional Love and Forgiveness are in the Foundation of Relationships

Then Peter came and said to Him (the Lord Jesus Christ), “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”

Jesus said to him (Peter), “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”

“For this reason the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who wished to settle accounts with his slaves.”

“When he had begun to settle them (the accounts), one (a slave) who owed him (the king) ten thousand talents was brought to him.”

“But since he (the slave) did not have the means to repay, his lord (the king) commanded him to be sold, along with his wife and children and all that he had, and repayment to be made (so as much money as possible could be recovered).”

“So the slave fell to the ground and prostrated himself before him (the king), saying, ‘Have patience with me and I will repay you everything.’”

“And the lord of that slave felt compassion and released him and forgave him the debt.”

“But that slave went out and found one of his fellow slaves who owed him a hundred denarii; and he seized him and began to choke him, saying, ‘Pay back what you owe.’”

“So his fellow slave fell to the ground and began to plead with him, saying, ‘Have patience with me and I will repay you.’”

“But he was unwilling (to forgive) and went and threw him in prison until he should pay back what was owed.”

“So when his fellow slaves saw what had happened, they were deeply grieved and came and reported to their lord all that had happened.”

“Then summoning him, his lord said to him, ‘You wicked slave, I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me.’”

“‘Should you not also have had mercy on your fellow slave, in the same way that I had mercy on you?’”

“And his lord, moved with anger, handed him over to the torturers until he should repay all that was owed him.”

“My heavenly Father will also do the same to you, if each of you does not forgive his brother from your heart.”

BREAK
When I Think About Home

But now faith, hope, love, abide (in the sphere of) these three; but the greatest of these is (unconditional) love.

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
…is a reflection of the essence of God
…is the foundation of the gospel message invitation
…is uncontainable
…is transformative
…shows concern for others even when they are harming you
...forgives

FORGIVENESS
…is something we have the option to give as a gift to those who hurt us often and deeply
…is a requirement if relationships are to continue
…has the well being of others in view

FORGIVE
To totally forget or blot out an offense as if the offense had never happened.

CLOSING SONG
Come See a Man

“For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.”

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
