TODAY’S STUDY
The Challenge Of Giving Unconditional Love
For our citizenship is in heaven, from which (place) also we eagerly wait (looking for) for (the return visit of) a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ…
…who will transform the body of our humble state (our current physical bodies) into conformity with the (resurrection) body of His glory, by the exertion of the (enabling) power that He (the Lord Jesus Christ) has even (the power) to subject all things to Himself.
But now faith, hope, love, abide (in the sphere of) these three; but the greatest of these is (unconditional) love.

Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection (the Church Age believer especially); over these (who take part in the first resurrection) the second death (the Lake of Fire) has no power, but they (the ones in the first resurrection) will be priests of God (the Father) and (priests) of (the Lord Jesus) Christ and will reign with Him (the Lord Jesus Christ) for a thousand years.
This life we live for this brief time…the dash…is a Cross
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If (1) anyone wishes to come after Me (and many will), he must deny (disregard) himself (the self life), and (he must) take up his cross (laying aside the old self and everything the world considers important) and follow Me.”
“For whoever wishes to save his life (setting his mind on earthly things) will lose it (his life); but whoever loses his life (setting his mind on things above) for My sake will find it (his life).”
“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?”
…in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit…
…and that you be renewed (by God) in the spirit of your mind…
…and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
“I have been crucified with (the Lord Jesus) Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in(dwelling) me; and the (Zoe) life which I now live in the flesh (in the body) I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me (unconditionally) and gave Himself up for me.”
The “I” life is crucified with (the Lord Jesus) Christ… …
and it is no longer the “I” life that lives…
but it is the “Christ Life” that lives in(dwelling) me…
…and the “Christ Life…” the (Zoe) life which I now live in the flesh (in the body) I live by faith in
(dependence on) the Son of God… …
who loved me (unconditionally) and gave Himself up for me.

When I Think About Home
Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in (the Lord) Christ Jesus…
…who, although He existed in the form of God (the exact same in essence), did not regard equality with God (the Father) a thing to be grasped (seized and held)…
…but emptied Himself (deprived Himself of the rightful powers of Deity), taking the form of a bond-servant (true humanity), and being made in the likeness of men.
Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled (humiliated) Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a Cross.
For this reason also, God (the Father) highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name…
…so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth…
…and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
And when they came to a place called Golgotha, which means Place of a Skull…
…they gave Him (the Lord Jesus Christ) wine to drink mixed with gall; and after tasting it, He was unwilling to drink.
And when they had crucified Him, they divided up His garments among themselves by casting lots.
And sitting down, they began to keep watch over Him there.
And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, “THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
At that time two robbers were crucified with Him, one on the right and one on the left.
And those passing by were hurling abuse at Him, wagging their heads…
0 …and saying, “You who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the Cross.”
In the same way the chief priests also, along with the scribes and elders, were mocking Him and saying…
“He saved others; He cannot save Himself. He is the King of Israel; let Him now come down from the Cross, and we will believe in Him.”
“HE TRUSTS IN GOD; LET GOD RESCUE Him now, IF HE DELIGHTS IN HIM; for He said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”
The robbers who had been crucified with Him were also insulting Him with the same words.

It’s Not the Critic Who Count
