Hi there!

My name is Rory Clark and I am the Pastor of Barah Ministries…a worldwide Christian Church based in Mesa, AZ

I have a question for you…

Why Don’t You Give God Another Chance?

That’s the focus of these ten-minute lessons.  You can give God another chance.

TODAY’S LESSON

More Things God Wants For You

What is God is communicating to you through these short lessons?  I’d like you to see it all in one place.  We started this in the last short lesson and we’ll finish it up in this lesson.  Here are a few of the message concerning what God wants for you.

God exists…He loves you UNconditionally…He loves you when you are at your worst…God wants a relationship with you…He cares for you so much that He considers your problems to be His responsibility…God gives His most important jobs to the people who are most flawed…God has a personal plan for your life…He knows everything about you…He has always had you in His mind by name…and He always will…He wants you to be saved…He wants you to know the truth…but God has an enemy, Satan, who sponsors both lies and liars to keep you from getting to know God…but God provides the bible as your source of truth…and if you ask Him, He will keep on revealing the truth to you.

Now a few more things God wants for you.  There’s a verse you have probably heard at every wedding ceremony you have ever attended…First Corinthians, Chapter 13, Verses 13…

First Corinthians 13:13

But now faith, hope, love, abide in the sphere of these three; but the greatest of these is love.

God sums up the Christian Way of Life in this verse…because Christianity is a life of faith, hope, and love.

God wants you to have faith…Hebrews, Chapter 11, Verse 1…

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the assurance that you already have the things you hope for…faith is the conviction that you already have the things you have not yet seen.

If you are going to look at faith this way, then you better be putting your faith in a pretty good object…the Christian Way of Life asks…

In what or in whom do you place your faith?

The Christian places his complete faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, our God, and we know that by doing it that we can confidently expect that everything our Lord says will come true.  Second Corinthians, Chapter 5, Verse 7, says…

Second Corinthians 5:7

…we walk by faith, not by sight—

That gives us hope.  Jeremiah, Chapter 29, Verse 11, which says…

Jeremiah 29:11

‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.’

Hope is our absolute confidence that what God says will absolutely happen.  For example, when He says in Acts, Chapter 16, Verse 31…

Acts 16:31

“Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and everyone in your household who also believes…”

…I have absolute confidence that my salvation happens at the moment I express faith in Christ, and I don’t have to keep asking Him for salvation over and over again.  He saved me at a moment in time, and I am saved forever.  In John, Chapter 10, Verse 28, the Lord Jesus Christ says…

John 10:28

…and I give eternal life to them (believers in Christ), and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.

I have that hope…I have that absolute confidence, because a God who never changes His mind saved me…and He would never change my salvation status…of this I am absolutely sure because He gave His word.

First Corinthians, Chapter 13, Verses 13…

First Corinthians 13:13

But now faith, hope, love, abide in the sphere of these three; but the greatest of these is love.

God has UNconditional love toward me, and He gave it to me to pass on to others.  Believe me when I tell you that there is nothing inside of me, the human being, that wants to love others UNconditionally, especially when they take advantage of me.  Maybe I loan money to a friend and they don’t pay me back…maybe my relatives treat me poorly… maybe my boss isn’t fair…I don’t want to give the benefit of the doubt.  But since God gives me the benefit of the doubt in all matters, I can easily duplicate His UNconditional love when I am dealing with others.

God wants you to go back to church!  PEOPLE is the main reason many people don’t go to church.  But I ask…where is the UNconditional love?  People in a church near you need you, and they need your spiritual gift.  God expects you to reflect His UNconditional love.  You can’t do that at home.  Go back to church.

God wants you to turn over your problems to Him.  There are some problems that are just too big for us as human beings.  Stevie Wonder recommended a remedy in one of His songs…

Have a Talk with God

When you feel your life’s too hard

Just go have a talk with God

When we become Christians, it doesn’t mean all of our problems are solved.  It means there is a divine solution for every human problem, and God is able to handle all of our situations.  First Peter, Chapter 5, Verse 10 says…

First Peter 5:10

After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His

eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.

God wants you to come to Him when you’re mad at Him.  Romans, Chapter 8, Verse 28…

Romans 8:28

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

It is God’s kind intention to work all things together for your good.

God doesn't want you to be alone.  One of the really good reasons to go back to church, if you are able, is so that you are not alone…you can surround yourself with a support system…and even though in every situation there will be people who hurt you…also in every situation there will be people who support you.  Hebrews, Chapter 10, Verses 24 and 25…

Hebrews 10:24-25

…let us consider how to stimulate one another to unconditional love and to good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

 You have been forgiven.

All of our sins have been forgiven in the past, and the result is they stand forgiven forever.  We are FORGIVEN.

No matter what you think you have done that would make God disapprove of you, He doesn’t disapprove.  You can’t disappoint God.  SO don’t beat yourself up when you make mistakes.  Luke, Chapter 23, Verse 34…

Luke 23:34

But Jesus was saying, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.”

God knows you better than anyone, and He knows you need second, third, fourth, and one hundredth chances.

And speaking of giving, keep on giving God another chance.
